Dear Monte and family,
It was with such sadness I just learned of your mother's passing. What a truly gracious lady she was. I remember thinking that the first time I met her when I was still in high school. Little did I know that I would have the pleasure of working with her a few years later when I returned to Superior as a speech-language pathologist. She was such a wonderful teacher and her students all loved her. But what I remember most through the years that I knew her was the huge smile that would light up her face whenever she spoke about you and your family. Her legacy is great and lives on through all of you and every student she ever taught. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you grieve her passing.
With much sympathy,
Ann (Sweet) Higdon

Monte & family,
Your mother was my favorite teacher. She read the Bobsy Twins Series to us after lunch recess everyday and she was kind to all of the children. She used to talk about you in class and was very proud of you. God's Graces.

Do you remember your dog, Rover? He was my dog until we moved to town. Your Mother was a wonderful teacher!
You have my sympathy!
You will probably remember me as Connie Jensen.
