Arlyne Lucille (Erickson) Gunn, 88, of Belleville, Kans., entered her eternal home on Thursday, January 7, 2010 surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was born September 24, 1921 on a farm outside of Edgar, Nebr. She was baptized and confirmed at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Ong, Nebr. She attended country school in Edgar for eight years and graduated in 1939 from Edgar high school. She was married on June 29, 1943 in Austin, Txs., to her true love, Gayle Francis Gunn. They lived in Edgar and Carleton before settling in Hardy, Nebr., for more than 27 years. Arlyne moved to Superior in the late 1970's and retired from the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in 1986. She became a resident of Republic County Hospital Long Term Care in 2007.
