Charles 'Charlie' Daniel Bagley was born on November 2, 1941, in Superior, Nebraska, to parents, Charles Cleat and Mary Lovina Luceil Moss Bagley. He died on January 5, 2010, at his home in Hermiston, Oregon, at the age of 68 years.
Charlie was raised and attended school where he played football and basketball in Superior, Nebraska. In 1966 he moved to Wichita, Kansas, to work for Massey-Ferguson Inc. for 5 years. In 1971 he moved to Pasco, Washington, to work at a Massey-Ferguson dealership where he worked until 1981. Charlie married Leola Bernard in 1978 and they had 2 sons, Chad and Steven, before divorcing. He then worked for New Holland Inc. in Pasco from 1981 until 1991. He later worked for Max Equipment Marketing in Pasco from 1991 until 1994 and then Service Transport in Burbank, WA, from 1994 until 1996. Charlie then worked for Mountain View Equipment Company in Pasco from 1996 until 1999 and then JRJ in Sunnyside, WA, from 1999 until transferring to JRJ in Hermiston where he worked until 2004. He then moved to Hermiston, Oregon, working for Farm Equipment Headquarters where he semi-retired from in July of 2009.
Charlie enjoyed playing pool, watching football, NASCAR, bowling, going to old car and equipment shows, roller skating and socializing. He loved spending time with and helping his family, including trips to Nebraska to visit family.
He is survived by his children: Tracie Simpson, Lincoln, NE; Krysti Michl, Lincoln, NE; Beth Schlichtman, Edgar, NE; Chad Bagley, Pasco, WA; and Steven Bagley, Pasco, WA; sisters: Nettie May Korthals, Victoria, TX; and Betty Marcott, Santa Paula, CA; brother, Richard Bagley, Superior, NE; 8 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren with 1 on the way.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Barbara Lemon.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. at Burns Mortuary Chapel, Hermiston, Oregon.
Burial will be in Superior, Nebraska.
