Ronald L. Jackson the son of Cecil and Verdi (Shriner) Jackson was born December 22, 1933 on a farm in Smith County, Kansas. He departed this life on Sunday, November 29, 2009 at the Perkins Pavilion in Hastings, Nebraska at the age of 75 years 11 months and 7 days.
Ronald attended rural schools in Franklin County. In May of 1955 Ronald was united in marriage to Andrea McCormick, to this union two children were born one son and one daughter. This marriage later ended in divorce. Ronald was a long time employee of Ralph Kissinger at Fairfield, Nebraska and later worked for the State of Nebraska, Department of Roads.
Ronald had been a long time member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and in his spare time Ronald enjoyed hunting, fishing and being in the out of doors.
He is preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter Belinda Jackson in 1964, 4 brothers-in-law, a niece and a nephew.
Survivors include his son Darcy Jackson of Hastings, Nebraska; daughter Melissa Mbride of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sisters Betty Eichman of Grand Island, Nebraska; Janice Goos of Centennial, Colorado; Kristine Oakman of Topeka, Kansas; Shirley Griffith of Colby, Kansas; Velda Ellis of Grand Island, Nebraska; 2 grandchildren other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday 1:00 p.m., December 5, 2009 at the Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Red Cloud with the Rev. Richard Fairbanks officiating. Burial was at the Riverton Cemetery, Riverton, Nebraska
