Patricia Smith, age 45, of Red Cloud, Nebraska died Saturday, November 14, 2009 at the Webster County Community Hospital in Red Cloud.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, 10:30 a.m., November 18, 2009 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Red Cloud with the Rev. Paul Frank officiating. The Rosary will be recited Tuesday, 7:00 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Red Cloud.
Visitation will be held Monday and Tuesday, 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Patricia Ann Smith, the daughter of Mary (Lewis) and Eldean "Bud" Einspahr, was born August 10, 1964 at Hastings, Nebraska. She departed this life on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at the Webster County Community Hospital in Red Cloud, Nebraska at the age of 45 years, 3 months and 4 days. Patti grew up in the Campbell community and received her formal education attending the Campbell schools, graduating with the Class of 1982. She then moved to Hastings where she attended Joseph College of Beauty. On November 30, 1984 she was united in marriage with Dennis Smith at Hastings, Nebraska. They resided in Hastings, Glenvil and Spalding before moving to the Red Cloud area to make their home in 1991. She was a communicant of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Red Cloud. She was employed for a period of time at the Heritage Care Center in Red Cloud, until her failing health required her to quite working. She enjoyed helping with a number of community projects including Red Cloud Streetcar Days celebration and the annual Road Rally. In her leisure time she enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with her family. She was an avid fan of NASCAR and she especially looked forward to decorating their home for the Halloween and Christmas holiday seasons. Her greatest enthusiasm in life was spending time with family, friends and her dogs. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Dennis; her daughter, Brandi; her father, Bud Einspahr of Olathe, Kansas; two sisters, Deb Bauman and husband Gary of Merrimac, Wisconsin and Michelle Jarmin and husband Dennis of Wilsonville, Nebraska; two brothers Greg Einspahr and wife JoAnn of Olathe, Kansas and Bryan Einspahr and wife Sheryl of Wauneta, Nebraska; other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Einspahr, in 2004.
