Gloria Stark the daughter of Quentin and Clara (Meyer) Bubbert was born October 8, 1946 in Fremont, Nebraska. She departed this life Saturday, November 14, 2009 in Edgar, Nebraska at the age of 63 years.
Gloria grew up on Fremont, Nebraska and graduated from Fremont High School. Gloria continued her education by obtaining her nursing degree from Methodist School of Nursing in Omaha, Nebraska. After graduation Gloria remained at Methodist Hospital and worked as a Labor/Delivery Nurse for three years.
Gloria was united in marriage to Horace Starkon October 25, 1971 in Las Vegas, NV. Two daughters were born to this union Martie in 1973 at Jackson Hole, WY and Melissa in 1977 at Geneva, Nebraska. This marriage ended in divorce. Gloria held different jobs in several states before coming to Edgar, Nebraska where she began a 30 year nursing career at the Edgar Nursing Home.
Gloria had always been a very active person, she enjoyed animals, doing volunteer work, she enjoyed writing plays and was always an entertainer. She never however allowed any of these to diminish her first love that for her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her daughters Martie Stark and daughter Micki of Edgar, NE; Melissa Martin and husband Tom and son Quentin of Shelton, Nebraska; brother Greg Bubbert and wife Teresa of Fremont, Nebraska, other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held this Wednesday 2:00 PM, November 18, 2009 at the Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Edgar, NE. Rev. Stephen Price Gibson will be officiating. Burial will be held in the Edgar Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.wmsfh.com. Williams Funeral Home of Edgar , Nebraska is in charge of the arrangements.
